A Tantalizing Thai Dinner Party

I'm not sure where you live, but here in Sydney, Thai cuisine is so popular that most of the suburbs at least one Thai restaurant, if not 20 have! This may seem a little exaggerated, but you get the drift - it's capital "P" for popular!

So if you are planning a dinner party at home, it is useful to your guests with a food, that to the people. Love Thai food seems to serve, is your perfect option. It's exotic, clean and bright and best of all, delicious!

Thai cuisine is known for its balance of five basic types known. Most Thai dishes tend to all these variants, if not assume the most. These flavors are:

- Hot (spicy - Chili)

- Sour (vinegar, lemon juice, tamarind)

- Sweet (soft brown sugar, fruit, peppers)

- Salty (soy sauce, fish sauce)

- Bitter (this is optional)

The great thing with Thai cuisine is that instead of dried herbs which they use a lot of fresh herbsand spices and fish sauce. The flavors are sensational.

Since 95% of Thais are Buddhists, they let religious offering of fruit at the base of a Buddha statue with burning candles, incense and the like in the restaurants. There is a calmness that that entails, as you bear witness to the scene. They are also often photos of their beloved and long in the service of the king.

You can create a new Thai place in your living room by making the smell of incense and the subtleLight softer than usual. If you do not have a light dimmer, try lighting the dining room with a few candles or lamps to create a nice atmosphere.

If you can get some Thai classical music would be nice to keep the noise - or else some other Middle Eastern-inspired music.

Thais generally do not use chopsticks to eat - and not a fork and a dessert spoon like but if you want the Touch of Asia (Thailand located in South-East Asia) feel free to provide each guest withPair of chopsticks. Imagine a wooden or bamboo place mat at the location of each guest.

As the centerpiece of your table that you could produce a long shallow dish filled with water and floating candles filled the top. You could also try to buy some exotic looking flowers. On my travels to Thailand, orchids and the like have adorned the table settings. The whole experience of eating is pure pleasure.

For starters, you can one of the most delicious soups like a hot and spicy Tom Yum Goong serve (spicy and sourShrimp soup) or Tom Yum Kai, which is similar but with chicken.

They could also serve Thai fish cakes, spring rolls in rice paper, curry puffs, satay chicken or fried chicken wings - with dipping sauce of course.

For main - stir fries, fish, Thai curries (green, red, yellow, Masaman, etc) or the popular noodle dishes like Pad Thai or Pad See Yu. Do not forget you will be served the rice in a covered bowl of rice in a central location on the table, soPeople can help themselves.

A plate of fresh, exotic fruit or a mango sticky rice dish is wonderful for dessert.

You see, there are so many opportunities for your recipe for Thai food. I would suggest checking the Internet for free recipes or get hold of a simple Thai cookbook.

Most of the ingredients you need are easily available at your local Asian specialty food store.

Chinese & Thai Restaurant Nairobi

Panda Chinese Restaurant
Fedha towers, Kaunda St; mains kshs380-1480)

A spacious very classy Asian restaurant hidden away Kaunda St.The staff is attentive to the point of excessive zeal, especially when its quiet and the food is the best Chinese chow I have seen in Nairobi. Lovers of Muzak is also in her element.

Hong Kong Restaurant
(College House, Koinange St; Mains Kshs 300-600)

A bright red Restaurant with good food and not too much cliche decor. It is the cheapest Chinese in the city proper and is accordingly popular.

Bangkok Chinese restaurant
(RankXerox House, Parklands Rd, Westlands, Mains Kshs290-890)

The Bangkok is in the business for a number of years, but clearly named by someone who no understanding of geography, because there are so little or nothing about the Thai menu at all. If the disappointment is too much, you can always crack a bottle of Moet (Kshs 8990)

Tanager Bar & Restaurant
(Rehema House, Kaunda St. mains Kshs 280-350)

A simple and cheap Chinese restaurant in the middle of the African cityremoved.

China Jiangsu Restaurant

This attractive restaurant has an extensive menu of real Thai cuisine and a very good reputation. Can be Unga Houseachieved either or Muthithi Woodvale Grove Rd

Japanese Nairobi Kenya Restaurants

Akasaka Restaurant
(Standard St, mains Kshs 450-800)

A wonderful Japanese restaurant next to the six eighty Hotel. It's always a little quiet, but that fits the stylish Japanese decor and the food is very authentic. There's even a tatami) room reservation (in advance where you can eat at traditional low tables. Akasaka runs the full spectrum of Japanese cuisine, includingUdon noodles, sushi sets, tempura, teriyaki, and sukiyaki as well as great miso soup. Good value lunch is also available.

Furasato Japanese Restaurant
(Karuna Rd, Westlands, menus Kshs 700-1500)

Behind the sarit away, this is a very fine way to make Japanese with tempting dishes such as sushi, teppanyaki and tempura. The sushi and sashimi are delicious. Reservations are recommended.

There are many other Asian restaurants in Nairobi, some inleafy suburbs that are also twice as much as may the costs included here. Depending on your taste, you can tell the Chinese and Japanese restaurants in these areas.

Remember though that here at this level of class, which includes your account not just the food mass, but the dining atmosphere, something you probably do not take in the belly to go home.

All in all, you most likely will find in a restaurant, if not two, to your taste and pocket. There is simply noLack of Asian restaurants.

Thai Iced Tea

If you have ever had in a Thai food perhaps, or a Vietnamese restaurant, then you've probably seen an interesting orange drink into a tall glass go by with a waiter or waitress you've often wondered what could be these kinds of drinks. You're pretty sure it's a Thai drink .... Finally, you are in a Thai restaurant, but what exactly is he?

What you have seen, is Thai iced tea. Surprise! It does not look as much asany tea that you are probably accustomed to seeing. But it is tea! It's just another way that you might have heard anything until prepared. It looks intriguing, and it tastes wonderful and is very welcome on a hot summer day, hot or if you eat spicy food.

Normally, Thai restaurants, there is no give when it comes to their recipes. But was the recipe for Thai iced tea is not too hard to get. It's like a Thai staple drink that almost everyone whofamiliar with the Thai food can tell you how to prepare it.

The type of tea that is used in Thai restaurants, is called Lapsang Suchong and it can be found on the Internet. You can also use a good quality black loose tea and end with the same result. You need to make about 2 / 3 cup of black tea leaves to two glasses of Thai iced tea.

You must also 1 and 2 / 3 cup of delicious water, preferably purified, ½ cup sugar and 1 ½ cups evaporated milk,That the amount is 12 ounces in a can drink. Add to the recipe ingredients, a few pieces of kitchen appliances like a kettle or large pots and pans to boil water in a large strainer, or you can go in Asia for this recipe and try to find a traditional Asian tea sock! Have ready a pitcher that can take the heat of boiling water, and a long spoon for stirring.

Place the water in the boiler or utensils, and bring them to a rolling boil. Remove the water from theOven heat. You do not want to cook the tea, as this would make it bitter. Add the 2 / 3 cup of black tea leaves to the water, and stir with long spoon to ensure that they are all covered with water. You want the tea leaves to steep for 5 minutes.

When 5 minutes have elapsed, it is time that the pitcher of tea-master, and do not forget it needs to be a pitcher that can take the heat, this tea will be very hot. This may take a little time, as the 2 / 3 cup of teaquite a lot of effort on. Poor the tea through the sieve a little at a time, and when it begins to fill with wet tea leaves, you can stop and remove the tea leaves, and then began to strain the tea again.

If you have screened all of the tea, and it is safe in the jug, you can stir in the ½ cup of sugar to the brew. It is best to do so, while black tea is still pretty hot since the heat to help dissolve the sugar faster. Have you ever tried to get the sugar to dissolve incold tea? It does not work very well.

Now you need to ensure that the tea cool for a while, then put it in the fridge and a little patience! You get to taste this tea too soon enough!

An hour and a half goes by slowly ...

Are you ready? Good! The tea was cool enough now, so you can do it from the refrigerator. Get two tall glasses, preferably made of clear glass, because it shows the fascinating views of the tea would be much better than a solid colored glass.

Fillthe two glasses with ice cubes. Pour Take the pot of tea, and the cold tea over the ice, but do not fill the glass all the way to the top! You want to leave approximately one quarter of the glass empty except at the tip. Get the condensed milk, and slowly pour it into the top of each glass.

You want to show two layers of color, so make sure you pour carefully to ensure that they do. If you have problems with the layers blending into each other over the first glass, you want in this experimentPeak on the second glass, how to prepare it. Take your iced tea spoon and hold it over the glass. Pour the condensed milk slowly to the back of the spoon, let it run into the glass of tea. That should do it.

You need to drink properly, either a straw or an iced tea spoon Thai iced tea. Some people like to mix the milk in the Thai iced tea from the outset. Others enjoy sipping their tea sweetened by the layer of milk. It all dependsas it tastes best to you, and it's fun to experiment with both ways!

Men Never Take Your Date to a Restaurant

Conventional wisdom, you have to believe that women you like, you should take it to a nice restaurant and win them better know.

If you are a woman that the only thing that will happen will be dinner, she will get a free meal if they keep it down quite a different matter.

In theory, restrictions sounds like a great place to take a date, you are talking in general, face, and of course the chance to face is that the transaction has closedDates for the dinners, "everybody has to eat."

Now let us look at each of these individually on a good idea as useless, but you get the date is to eat really.

Face to Face Interaction

No argument here on this one, you come face to be seen, after they finally there lay down a menu and order. Have you ever seen someone eating and has been observed. Eat In my experience in finding someone is to be observed and funnydisturbing.

Chance to Talk --

When and who is your server, as they come and offer more to drink or make sure everything is fine. Even if you are guaranteed to make it a conversation going to get into conversation killer # 1 stated that a restaurant "food." But when the food comes and the two of you manage to continue the talks and let the food is cold, you should not ask yourself why you went to dinner in the firstPlace.

Everybody Eats --

Safe food is a fact of life, and so is pooping and sleeping. I still have no one who has chosen to visit to "The Barn" as a basis for a date and has to sleep with someone as a date, while honest would rather correspond to a Booty Call or One Night Stand.

Considering that we do not even mention payment for the food and on top of what is to be learned in the process of a woman, you know to eat? It is safe and easy, and yet thatwhat you really want to see a beautiful woman who transport you safely and easily?

If you really want to feed your date, would the snack route is much easier and more affordable. Ice cream or coffee at Starbucks is an effective way to win, the woman on a date with better results and if you play your cards right, maybe she'll cook your dinner and you can spend the night for a sleepover as well.

What is Thai Food Like?

Thailand Kitchen is always widespread and appreciated. Grasshoppers, worms and cockroaches were used for centuries in the preparation of typical dishes of Thailand.

The cuisine of Thailand is not only insects, but with many products of plant origin, such as carrots, peas, Brussels sprouts, celery, fennel, etc., and also with various meats (beef, pork,) goat, and seafood. Mango and coconut are also used, and the courts are characterized by a strong spicy flavor.Meals are in fiber and protein, low fat rich and extremely tasty.

The secret of this ancient cuisine goes beyond the preparation of food. It is said that eating for two centuries, the Thais are sitting on a mat or carpet. Instead of tables, a red cloth was at large, placed bronze vase with a lid. The meat was cut into small pieces with rice in a bowl placed deep into the earth.

Pearl spoons were used to serve the food. The guests did not use a knife and fork. They ate, bysmall balls of rice with your fingers and dipping in the accompanying dishes. Not imagine Europeans fork until some time later.

These habits have changed, but the rich flavors of Thai cuisine remains the same. The balance of flavors, aromas, textures and colors is very valuable for the kitchen. Thai food, many meals together, all brought to the table at the same time: a soup, salad, a spicy dish (or curry), and various sauces which are typically basedon "nam pla (fish sauce).

These sauces are layered over vegetables or seafood, and all are by a good portion of rice, which accompanies a major staple food in many Asian countries. The most common form is jasmine rice, which is more aromatic and delicate.

The desserts are always accompanied by tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, coconut, tamarind juice (juice) and others. The Thais eat with forks and spoons, knives are seldom used because the meat and vegetables, cut into smallPieces.

Contrary to what many think, are used chopsticks only for Chinese-style noodles. Water and tea are the most common drinks, the Thai whiskey and soda with a good dose of lime juice is eaten on festive occasions.
