Where to Eat in Alicante

One thing that Alicante offers plenty of choice - whether you're on a budget, or rather stylish restaurants, there is a great mix of restaurants in the region for everyone. Keeping in line with the majority of tourism regions in Spain, Alicante has a wide selection of restaurants offering both local and international cuisine, Thai and Indian, Turkish and Moroccan to offer food!

When you start your vacation on a budget, there are many good value restaurants in the area around the Calle San Francisco - where you are guaranteed some great Spanish food in great prices! How to go to all the tourist places which are sometimes well off the beaten track, and this is an area to enjoy the fish, seafood and typical Spanish cuisine. A very popular place to visit is the restaurant Alebrije, which has a beautiful garden setting. However, it is not a budget option, but a place for a special occasion! The Dársena is another> Restaurant that reputation. The food is great and it is located at the port area with exceptional views of the sea.

We are all familiar with tapas bars, but did you know that the origins of the bars in Alicante begun! Tapas bars are another way to dine, that does not break the bank! Fantastic local produce to be enjoyed at competitive prices.

Many restaurants serve more Montaditos - the fabulous are the local delicacies adorn, crusty bread andhanded out free to customers of some esthablishements - for example, check out the Meson de Labradores bar in Calle Labradores. Take your toothpick to the waiter, who then calculate the bill - typically, they would more than 50cents 1euro at any price, this is an inexpensive way to eat!

Other popular tapas restaurants to consider visiting Entre Tapas y Vinos, Barra Igeldo> Restaurant, Restaurant Casa Ibarra, Los Mejillones, and the Plaza del Puerto cafe bar at the marina.

Treated for a few more, check out Central Market in Alicante, where you can taste some local specialties. There are a variety of stalls selling snacks here, and it is a good way to spend the day exploring the markets!

Main courses of Alicante

After tapas dishes, without doubt, the main dish in the region of paella, a rice dish with meat and vegetables are servedSeafood (in Alicante is fabulous). For more authentic taste of Alicante, check out local specialties such as oil-grilled red mullet, anchovy, tuna, whiting, smoked sausage with fish soup and garlic and parsley. It is fair to say that the Moorish influence of the past in the region of Alicante was a great influence on cuisine. Dried fruits and nuts are frequently used in dessert dishes. One of the most famous dishes is Turrón dessert, which is a court of nougat, especially in Alicante. The region is one of the main areas of wine production in Spain. An exciting traditional wine called El Fondillónand is worth sampling!
